A large unnamed area of Holocene basalts is located on the floor of the Ethiopian Rift Valley SW of Tulu Moje volcano. The flows occupy a NE-SW-trending zone near the active eastern margin of the rift valley, NE of Lake Zwai and NW of the massive, 4000-m-high Pleistocene Ch'llalo (Cilallo) volcano, one of the largest volcanic structures of the central Ethiopian Rift Valley.

The Global Volcanism Program is not aware of any Holocene eruptions from Unnamed. If this volcano has had large eruptions (VEI >= 4) prior to 10,000 years ago, information might be found on the Unnamed page in the LaMEVE (Large Magnitude Explosive Volcanic Eruptions) database, a part of the Volcano Global Risk Identification and Analysis Project (VOGRIPA).

A large unnamed area of young basaltic lava flows is located on the floor of the Ethiopian Rift Valley SW of Tullu Moje volcano, which produced the dark-colored obsidian lava flow at the top-center portion of this Landsat image. The basaltic flows occupy a NE-SW-trending zone near the active eastern margin of the rift valley, NE of Lake Zwai (lower left) and NW of the massive, 4000-m-high Pleistocene Ch'llalo (Cilallo) volcano (lower right), one of the largest volcanic structures of the central Ethiopian Rift Valley.
