Gunung Tampomas, the northernmost young volcano in western Java, rises above fields below its ESE flank. Tampomas is a small stratovolcano overlooking the northern coastal plain about halfway between Tangkubanparahu and Cereme volcanoes. Youthful-looking lava flows are found on the flanks of the volcano.
