Eruptive History

There is data available for 0 confirmed eruptive period.

[ 1928 ] Uncertain Eruption

Episode 1 | Uncertain
1928 - Unknown Evidence from Observations: Reported
The U.S. Hydrographic Office (1938) stated that "The highest volcano of this island was seen in eruption in 1928." with no further details or source given.

[ 1906 ] Discredited Eruption

CAVW noted the following: "Slevin (1931, pp. 147-148) reported that vapor was seen in 1906 rising from a hole in lava at the base of two small cones located on the northeast side of the summit. Presumably this is about the position of the depression east of the summit? Bowman (1962, written communication) reports he found no evidence of summit fumaroles in 1957."

This compilation of synonyms and subsidiary features may not be comprehensive. Features are organized into four major categories: Cones, Craters, Domes, and Thermal Features.
