Sedankinsky, a small Icelandic-type basaltic shield volcano, is the SE-most of a cluster of overlapping small shields along the crest of the central Sredinny Range north of Kebeney volcano. It lies at the SE end of a major graben extending NE from Kebeney volcano. Chains of cinder cones trending NE-SW were constructed on the southern and eastern flanks; lava flows from the latter cones bank up against the steep-walled eastern margin of the graben. Eruptions at Sedankinsky Dol, also known as Sedanka Dol, took place about 8000-10,000 years ago.

This compilation of synonyms and subsidiary features may not be comprehensive. Features are organized into four major categories: Cones, Craters, Domes, and Thermal Features. Synonyms of features appear indented below the primary name. In some cases additional feature type, elevation, or location details are provided.
The Global Volcanism Program has no photographs available for Sedankinsky.
The following references have all been used during the compilation of data for this volcano, it is not a comprehensive bibliography. Discussion of another volcano or eruption (sometimes far from the one that is the subject of the manuscript) may produce a citation that is not at all apparent from the title.
