The summit of the sharp-peaked 1584-m Lewotobi Lakilaki is seen from its twin volcano located only 2 km to the SE, Lewotobi Perempuan.  Lewotobi Lakilaki is the most active volcano on Flores Island, with frequent explosive eruptions in the 19th and 20th centuries.
