Global Volcanism Program | Image GVP-12483

The Leutongey shield volcano has produced scoria cones and lava flows, with several of these near the center of this September 2018 Planet Labs satellite image monthly mosaic (N is at the top; this image is approximately 14 km across). The two larger cones are near the center of this image, the relatively western cone with a 500-m-diameter crater and the southern Medvevezhy cone. Satellite image courtesy of Planet Labs, 2018.
