 Charcoal from within what were considered to probably be deposits from the last eruption of Matutum were radiocarbon dated at about 2,000 years BP (Sajona et al., 1997). PHIVOLCS (2004-, 2018) listed a radiocarbon date of 2,120 ± 80 years BP (170 ± 80 BCE), and a younger date as well.
