Pagan volcano rises above the Sengan Peninsula on its SSE flank. The peninsula in the foreground is eroded remnants of an older volcano that had a 7-km-wide caldera. North Pagan, the most active of two volcanoes on Pagan Island, was constructed within the past 3,000 years.
