Volcanologist Jim Vallance samples the TB3 (Tierra Blanca 3) deposit, the second oldest of four major deposits associated with the formation of Ilopango caldera.  This outcrop is located south of the town of Panchimalco, about 20-30 km SW of Ilopango caldera.
